St Peter Square

St. Peter’s Square

This grade 2 listed family house was in poor condition, with much unlocked potential. Our work opened up new possibilities to bring light and transparency into previously dark lowerground floor rooms, and extended the internal spaces into previously little used, external areas ofthe house. Strategic changes to a staircase position and the introduction of a double height spacewere important interventions and make for clearer links between the living areas, spread acrossthe two lower floors of this tall, four floor London house.

The new, brightly coloured staircase signals, (as a leitmotif) the new connection between living areas.

A new master bedroom suite of rooms reversed the previous arrangement to provide views across a garden square from the master bedroom, and private garden views for the master bathroom.

A new dressing area ‘floats’ between bedroom and bathroom with free standing storage which-backs a ‘forest green’ marble shower wall. All fittings are bespoke and designed specifically for-their location.

Changes to the listed building were carefully negotiated with the conservation team at the local planning authority.
